03/28/13 Interlake-Eastern RHA Adopts New Corporate Identity
March 28, 2013—The Board of Directors of the Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority has adopted a new logo for the RHA that is based on merging the logos from the two former RHAs that comprise the Interlake-Eastern RHA.

In describing the logo, board chair, Diane Kelly, said board members preferred a blue logo since it reflects the region's abundance of water. She also identified how the logo incorporates the RHA's recently adopted vision of Connecting people and communities to excellent health services – Today and Tomorrow.

“There are two crescent shapes in our logo that represent two responsibilities for health care – the responsibility of individuals and communities, and the responsibility of the RHA. When the two crescents merge, they create a whole person, in recognition that our care of people's health is the foundation of the work we do at the Interlake-Eastern RHA,” Kelly said.

While the website and print materials like letterhead and business cards will change to reflect the new logo, there are no plans to update signage at Interlake-Eastern RHA facilities in the region.

“Signage will be replaced as required but updating signs around the region is not a financial priority for us,” Kelly said. “We do hope people get used to the name Interlake-Eastern RHA as it will make us easier to find in phone directories and online.”

The board used the services of Janelle Desrosiers Graphic & Web Design to assist with the creation of the new logo. Desrosiers grew up in the region.
