05/30/2013 New Physician Accepting Patients in Teulon

May 30, 2013—Dr. Shadi Rezazedeh has recently opened a family medicine practice in Teulon's Medical Clinic and she is accepting new patients.

Dr. Rezazadeh started medical training in Iran and graduated from Medical University of the Americas in Nevis, West Indies. She also holds a degree in kinesiology and health science from York University in Toronto.

According to Dr. Cary Chapnick, Interlake-Eastern RHA's associate vice-president of medicine, the local community foundation partnered with the RHA to bring Dr. Rezazedeh to the region.

“When we work with a community to bring a physician to town, it affords a sense of reassurance that the physician will be embraced and welcomed,” Dr. Chapnick said. “It does make physicians think twice about leaving when other opportunities arise elsewhere.”

When she's not working, Dr. Rezazedeh likes to unwind in the outdoors by horseback riding and fishing, and reading when it starts getting cold outside.

Dr. Rezazedeh has already started practicing. To make an appointment, contact her office at 204.886.3996.
