Auxiliary donates $15,000 to Selkirk MRI
On Wednesday, June 9, representatives from the Selkirk Ladies Hospital Auxiliary presented a $15,000 cheque for the new Selkirk Regional Health Centre's MRI fund.
The funds were raised through television rentals and other purchases made through the auxiliary run gift shop at the hospital.

Ron Van Denakker recognized the auxiliary's long standing support for staff and patients at the hospital.

"Community partnerships are an integral component of the overall health services team, and volunteers and auxiliaries such as you make it possible to offer and deliver important programs and services to our communitity," Van Denakker said.

Dr. Dan Lindsay, director of diagnostic services at Selkirk and District General Hospital, told auxiliary members that people all over the region will benefit from their efforts.

"You are helping us do our job better and giving us the tools to take care of people closer to home."
