1/03/13 First Baby of 2013 Delivered at Selkirk & District General Hospital
January 3, 2013 —The first baby of 2013 to be born in the Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority made his anticipated arrival today at Selkirk & District General Hospital.

Michael Andrew Wipf was born at 10:06 a.m. to parents Susannah and Chris Wipf of the Broad Valley Colony near Arborg. He's named after his paternal and maternal grandfathers. Awaiting Michael at home is big brother Justin who was also born at Selkirk's hospital 16 months ago.

The family was presented with a playpen, blankets, diapers and gift cards on behalf of the Selkirk Ladies Hospital Auxiliary and the staff at the Selkirk & District General Hospital.

The Wipfs are looking forward to returning home. They thank Dr. Csupak for attending the delivery and the hospital auxiliary and staff members for the care and generosity they've received.
