Services to Seniors
Support Services to Seniors assists communities in the development of services that will support seniors in their independence in the community. Community developed, community run services such as congregate meals, grocery shopping, transportation, and home maintenance may be offered through the Support Services to Seniors program. Specific services will vary from community to community. Seniors programs focus on health promotion and maintenance of independent living. Support Services to Seniors, works along side Home Care Services in the community with the goal of enabling clients to remain in their own homes. Programs are provided which assist clients to achieve and maintain health, well-being and personal independence. Support Services to Seniors focus is on wellness and support.
