Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority Website now Live

Featuring the RHA’s 2013-2016 Strategic Plan

September 5, 2013—Interlake-Eastern RHA has launched its new website:

“We designed this website so it’s not only easy to navigate but it emphasizes the information that people search for most often,” said John Stinson, Interlake-Eastern RHA CEO. “We want this site to be particularly easy in regards to quickly finding career opportunities with our health authority and where to access health services.”

Posted under “About us” and “Publications and Reports” is the RHA’s four-year strategic plan.

“Our board of directors has outlined a plan for our future. Our focus over the next four years takes into consideration the province’s health priorities and the region’s vision, mission and values that our staff helped to develop,” Stinson said.

The region’s six points of strategic focus are: building for tomorrow; innovation, learning and growth; keeping it going; expanding opportunities; the best we can be; and getting better, staying healthy.

The complete plan is posted as well as a one-page summary for quick reference.

“We are very proud of our staff and their dedication to providing the best health care services in an always challenging work environment.  Our goal is to keep on keeping on and, over the next four years, build on staff expertise, strengthened community engagement, and ongoing system analysis to develop and refine programs that will help our region meet provincial health service objectives and accomplish our vision of connecting people and communities to excellent health services – today and tomorrow,” Stinson said.

The new website also features a two-click option to send a compliment or concern to staff at the RHA.

“I’m old enough to remember the old Beefs and Bouquets section of the CJOB morning show and we want to ensure that our region’s residents have a few easy options to share their thoughts with us,” Stinson said.
