2026- 2027 Healthy Together Now Funding Available
Healthy Together Now (HTN) is a community-led grassroots program to help prevent chronic diseases in Manitoba. The program is coordinated by the Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority and supported by the Province of Manitoba, Mental Health, Wellness and Recovery/Health Promotion and Wellness Branch. HTN focuses on prevention activities for all ages and strives to engage the highest needs population, individuals, families, and communities. Limited funds are available, and are to be used within a year. Community organizations can apply for funding for prevention activities in the areas of:
- Mental Well-Being
- Healthy Eating
- Tobacco Prevention & Reduction
- Physical Activity
The Process
The HTN Provincial Funding Guidelines provide an overview of the program and describe what is eligible for funding.
Projects that address the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) and a Health Equity Approach in their project will receive priority for funding. To learn more about the Social Determinants of Health & Health Equity, watch this video:
- Health Inequalities in Canada – Public Health Agency of Canada
- Inégalités en santé au Canada – Agence de la santé publique du Canada
The social determinants of health describe the conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work and age – such as housing, food, income, natural and built environments, social safety net and social inclusion. Using a Health Equity approach in your HTN project will seek to remove unfair and avoidable barriers to heath for priority populations.
The HTN 2026-27 spring intake will follow a district community committee model:
- Find your HTN Community Meeting which will bring individuals and groups together to use allotted funding. Meetings are scheduled from March 18-April 1, 2026. Register with your Interlake-Eastern RHA community contact to attend a community meeting. Do not apply online before this step.
- The district model operates with eighteen community clusters in the Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority. Partnerships are essential for funding.
- Use this Interlake-Eastern RHA HTN Community Check Sheet to ensure eligibility.
- Complete the Online Application Form in consultation with the HTN Community Contact. Do not apply online before the Community Meeting dates.
- Successful projects have one year for completion and a monitoring form.
