Measles

Public health officials with Manitoba Health, Seniors and Long-Term Care are notifying the public of confirmed measles cases in the province. Measles is a highly contagious viral disease that can cause serious health complications especially in children. Updates are available at Measles | Health | Province of Manitoba

Check immunization status

If you or your child has missed any immunizations, talk to your health-care provider or call your local public community health office (Click Community health office).

Measles is a part of Manitoba’s Routine Immunization Schedules.

Measles Exposure site identified in Interlake-Eastern RHA

The Province of Manitoba’s Measles Update #6 includes measles exposure sites located in Interlake-Eastern Health.

IERHA Staff Immunization Record Consent Form

The Occupational Health (OH) program is asking all staff to complete a new immunization record consent form The goal is to support faster, safer outbreak response by allowing OH to promptly confirm immunity status and help reduce unnecessary work exclusions.

Upcoming Immunization Clinics

In light of recent confirmed measles cases in the area, public health is offering Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)/Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (MMRV) vaccination to those that have not received the recommended 2 doses. Two doses of a measles vaccine (either MMR or MMRV) is recommended in order to protect your child from getting sick.


Public health will be hosting a vaccination walk-in clinic at:

Beausejour Primary Health Centre, 151-1st Street South, Beausejour, on the following dates:
Thursday, May 15th, from 4:00-8:00 pm
