Canada Post Strike

In preparation for potential labour disruption at Canada Post, Interlake-Eastern RHA stopped mailing  patient appointment letters and pre-appointment information effective last week, May 13.

Patients with upcoming surgical or out-patient appointments will be contacted by phone and/or email by representatives of the regional health authority in advance of the appointment.

Patients will never be asked to disclose financial information over the phone. Do not engage with anyone who says they require your financial information before a health appointment. If you believe a call to be suspect, please hang up and call your care provider directly.
