Message From the Board Chair and CEO
We are sharing with you Interlake-Eastern Regional Heath Authority’s 2026-2031 Strategic Plan. Our realistic plan will provide a clear focus and commitment to improvement in the coming years.
The document was prepared under the Board of Directors in accordance with the Health System Governance and Accountability Act. In developing this plan, the RHA’s Board of Directors engaged in various processes to guide the organization effectively into the future, this included, stakeholder engagement, environmental scanning, current state analysis and strategic prioritization. At Interlake-Eastern, we are expected to plan with an understanding of the region’s demographics, health status, burden of illness, as well as operational and jurisdictional challenges. We must consider approaches that improve access and availability of services. This plan is not about reaching for unachievable new goals. Rather, the plan is about focusing our efforts on key areas and initiatives that will strengthen health services and coordination across our region and beyond.
We also know we need to stay flexible as the environment we are operating in continues to evolve and change.
Our plan will serve as a compass to guide our decisions, align our efforts, and hold us accountable to monitor progress. We know where we have been, we know where we are going, and we look forward to working together with our valued staff, physicians, patients, community and Nation partners.
